The Proposal
The proposed development site is for the erection of approximately 100 new homes, along with associated landscaping, parking and services, on land to the south of Glassford Road, Strathaven.A site location plan showing the indicative development area, access points and surrounding land uses is available via the Public Event Notice ->
An Indicative layout will become available here shortly before the first public event.
Public Consultation Events
Two public consultation events will be held where members of the project team will be available to explain the proposals, answer questions and listen to views.Dates:

- Via this websiteConsultation PeriodThe consultation period will run until Friday 10 April 2026.This includes at least 10 days following the final public event to allow time for comments to be submitted and considered.
What Happens Next?All comments received during the consultation period will be reviewed and considered.A Report on Consultation will be prepared and submitted alongside any future planning application.Please note:This consultation relates to pre-application discussions only.Comments made at this stage are not representations to South Lanarkshire Council.If a planning application is submitted, there will be a separate opportunity to comment directly to the Council at that time.
